Projects
Welcome to my Projects page! Here, you will find a selection of work that showcases my skills and knowledge in quantitative finance. Each project highlights different aspects of my learning journey, from data analysis and financial modeling to algorithmic trading strategies. I aim to demonstrate my ability to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios. I hope you find these projects insightful and reflective of my passion for finance and commitment to continuous learning.
Quantitative Trading
In this project, I set out to create a trading strategy that capitalises on the relationships between different oil company stocks. The goal was to develop a system that could potentially make money regardless of whether the overall market was going up or down. This approach, known as pairs trading, is like betting on the relative performance of two related stocks rather than on the direction of the market as a whole.

Data Science
Throughout this project, my responsibilities included web scraping customer reviews and building predictive models to understand customer buying behaviour. I learned how to gather and analyse data effectively, extracting valuable insights that can drive business decisions. I also developed my skills in Python, utilising libraries for data manipulation and machine learning.

Research paper
In this paper, I have analysed the influence of networks on the popularity of Japanese animations. In other words, I have evaluated to which extent an anime profits from the success of another. By using a linear regression in Python, I have found that the spillover effect is higher for animes that have similar features.

Data Science
I participated in the Cognizant Virtual Experience program, where I took on the role of a data scientist. My task was to assist "Gala Groceries," a hypothetical technology-led grocery store chain in the USA, in resolving their supply chain issues. This project allowed me to apply my skills in data analysis, machine learning, and business communication to a practical scenario.

Data Visualisation
In this Virtual Experience program, I served as a data analyst, collaborating with an online retail store. I created visuals and conducted data cleaning to provide crucial insights for the CEO and CMO. This included addressing questions on revenue trends, top countries, customer ranking, and demand insights.

Data Analyst
I participated in the KPMG AU Virtual Experience hosted by Forage, where I served as a data analyst for Sprocket Central Pty Ltd, a hypothetical medium-sized company specialising in bikes and cycling accessories. My primary responsibility was to assist the organisation in analysing their customer data to derive actionable insights that could improve their marketing strategy.

Data Analyst
In this project, I collaborated with the company "Social Buzz" to conduct an analysis of their extensive dataset. My role was to unlock valuable insights and provide recommendations on how they could harness the power of their data effectively. Throughout this experience, I demonstrated my proficiency in data analysis techniques and showcased my ability to derive meaningful conclusions from datasets.

Excel Skills
In this project, I honed my Excel skills for business analytics. Through hands-on tasks, I gained skills in data analysis and visualisation, enabling me to make data-driven decisions that drive business growth.

Excel Skills for Finance/Business
In this project, I assisted a cupcake shop in forecasting its business plan for the next five years. I specifically built forecast assumptions as well as a simplified profit and loss statement. After performing cash flow modelling, I proceeded to summarise the data into charts.
