During my summer internship at TP ICAP, I gained valuable hands-on experience in financial operations, focusing on data analysis and reporting. My role supported both back-office and front-office functions, where I performed financial reconciliations and posted journal entries. I also developed interactive dashboards for the front office, enhancing their decision-making capabilities.
One of the most interesting aspects of my internship was the opportunity to shadow brokers and traders. This experience provided me with valuable insights into derivatives markets and client interactions, allowing me to see theory put into practice. I found it fascinating to see how market dynamics influence trading strategies and decision-making processes.

Additionally, I was exposed to high-frequency trading strategies, which deepened my understanding of the technological infrastructure that drives modern finance. The fast-paced environment of trading was both exciting and educational.

Additionally, I efficiently handled various administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling and managing office supplies, contributing to the smooth functioning of the office. My role as a receptionist allowed me to develop excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced corporate setting.
